FlexStaff began with a simple idea from Jade, a 17-year-old gymnastics coach.

Jade loved coaching, but her shifts weren’t guaranteed. Her working days and hours varied, making it difficult to earn the extra money she needed to help pay bills. She wanted more work, but it had to fit around her existing commitments.

“Why don’t we build an app that helps people find part-time work when their schedules allow?”

She knew she wasn’t alone. Students, stay-at-home parents, retirees and many others have time and abilities to offer, but need flexibility in when they work.

Then Jade took the idea a step further: what if people could add their skills to their profiles, and businesses could post exactly what help they needed? FlexStaff could match those opportunities with people whose skills and availability suited the job.

For businesses, that would mean finding suitable help more easily. For people looking for work, it would mean opportunities that fit their schedules—and greater confidence knowing their skills matched what they would be doing.

That’s how FlexStaff was born.
